Marta Borsanyi – Co-Founder, Principal Emeritus
Marta Borsanyi was a Founding Partner of The Concord Group and was active with the firm from 1995 through her retirement in 2014. She remained Principal Emeritus with The Concord Group until her passing in October 2016.
Ms. Borsanyi was a recognized expert in market, economic and financial analyses of development opportunities. She had extensive experience in the evaluation of both residential and non-residential properties with emphasis on the highest and best mix of uses for large-scale properties.
Focusing on amenity oriented recreational developments and second home properties, Ms. Borsanyi had been actively involved with a variety of large-scale resort assignments. Such work had taken her to geographies across the United States, Central and South America and Asia.
Previously, Ms. Borsanyi was head of marketing services at the Mission Viejo Company. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, feasibility and acquisition studies, economic and financial analyses, as well as new product development. Before that, she was a member of the faculty at the Graduate School of Management of the University of California, Irvine, teaching in the areas of strategic planning, scenario analysis and decision making.
A member for over 20 years, Ms. Borsanyi was part of the leadership group at the Urban Land Institute and had been a frequent speaker at professional conferences. She was also a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Ms. Borsanyi held a graduate degree in Economics from the University of Budapest and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
