Emma Tyaransen – Principal
Emma Tyaransen is a principal with The Concord Group. Her primary responsibility is to direct the consulting efforts of the Newport Beach office.
Her expertise includes evaluation of the economic and financial feasibility of existing and proposed residential and non-residential properties. Ms. Tyaransen’s specific experience includes urban mixed-use development, tax credit feasibility analysis, military base reuse and the segmentation of master planned communities. She also has expertise in highly specialized senior housing development types such as assisted living communities and active adult master planned communities.
Ms. Tyaransen’s professional affiliation includes her work with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Orange County District Council where she has held the position of Program Committee chair creating programs of interest to the local real estate community. She is also a member of the Real Estate Research Council of Southern California, an organization that conducts research into economic and market conditions affecting Southern California real estate.
Ms. Tyaransen has been invited to guest lecture on various occasions. Recently, she spoke at the Pacific Coast Builders’ Conference where she presented information on the subject of Generation X demographics and its impact on real estate trends. She was also an invited speaker at ULI’s recent conference on The Development of Golf and Master Planned Communities. Additionally, Ms. Tyaransen has lectured on real estate trends in the active adult community market to the Senior’s Housing Council of Southern California.
She is a contributing author to The Urban Land Institute Guide to Real Estate Market Analysis and Research where she shared her expertise on the market and economic analysis of military base reuse. In addition, Ms. Tyaransen is often quoted as an industry expert in national publications including among others Urban Land magazine, Los Angeles Times, the Houston Chronicle and Builder & Developer magazine.
Ms. Tyaransen is a native of Ireland where she received a B.A. in Spanish and German and a postgraduate business degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has been employed with The Concord Group since its inception in January 1995.
